SHANCO - Opportunity for independence
The Bagázs Association's social enterprise provides an opportunity for women living in Roma settlements to work independently and responsibly in a safe environment, allowing them to generate their own income.
In addition to earning an independent income and professional development, we also provide individual mentoring, which collectively contributes to the seamstresses' professional and personal growth, as well as the integration of marginalized communities.
Bagázs provides sewing machines and other necessary tools for the work, allowing them to create various textile products in their homes.

At Bagázs, we believe in a society where everyone has equal opportunities to pursue their goals if they make efforts towards achieving them. To create such a society, we sensitize members of the majority community to become more inclusive and accepting. Additionally, we provide development opportunities for Roma people living in settlements so they can articulate and take steps toward achieving their goals.
